God in the Wrong Place

don't you know I'm god
don't you know I'm god
the spiritual heavyweight
jabbed at the champ
dancing around the ring

if you ARE god
the champ glared back
you're in the wrong place
tonight

What God Said After World War III

sometimes in doing good
I am an asshole
but you have some responsibility
in this too
I could say fuck you
but that would be like saying
fuck myself
although it wouldn't be a sin
just be glad for the opportunity
to start over again
it's a cleansing you eventually
get clean from
I put that in you
you are the woman and the man
I am one with
don't kill yourselves
raise yourselves
from the dead
make knew music
see what happens
because I love you
you are own your own

Patience

those who love for god
and those who kill for god
expect to wind up
on the same plane as god
dear god, even if you are
nothing
hold me tight tonight
breathe me in a womb
and hold me to the light
kiss me like the fool
kisses for love
take me the way a soul
slides through the peaceful door
lead me in a prayer
headed for the open heart
when you are ready
you will see us all
one spirit at a time
it may take an eternity
but I'll be patient
it's worth the wait
