Gary McAvoy forwarded me your email about ideas for your Mississippi documentary. I'm a writer and I've been working with Gary, setting up a website for aspiring authors. I'm not writing to make suggestions for your doc, but to tell you that I'm running a new weekly film series here in Los Angeles, called Newfilmmakers. Every Wednesday, starting in February, I will screen features and short films at a new, high tech digital venue on Hollywood Boulevard. I wasn't aware that you make films, but if you have something you'd like to show in L.A. at a great venue, please let me know. More information about the series is available at Newfilmmakers.com. If you take a look at that website, you'll see that most of the info is about the New York Newfilmmakers series. My L.A. series is new, beginning in February.
