Oh - don't think I
ever told you my funny Mississippi river story - I have a tradition
sometimes on New Years/Birthdays to go down to the river and write down
everything I am ready to be rid of on a piece of paper, cork it up in
a bottle and toss it in the river... a symbolic riddance. Well, the
first time I did this, down by the Governor Nicholls wharf, I tossed
my bottle in as far as I could and watched it wash right back up on
shore at my feet. So I threw it back in as far as I could and ran back
up the bank without looking back!
