All Poetry & Nothing But
Two Poems
by Leonard Gontarek
Traveler

I am hungry &

homeless

river runs to the light carried in

platelets

bears on a barge in a thick purple

pudding

my brothers,

images

blending in the butter &

eggs

giving the dough one last

thump

whatever & strange

say not the sadness surrounds

leaves

say not before you dusk was

stratocumulus

after you, flamboyant

Alone

Night. Summer. Raining hard.

I put on my Medusa mask and look for the cats.

The World Will End At Midnight he warned.

I let the dishes go.
