Three Breathless Poems

Arch me
at an angle
that becomes
our religion

Make me scream
what I deign
to believe in

God god god
is gone

and you

white shirt tales beating
leap
from the balustrade
trailing fire

You have injected me
with the opiate
of our masses

Why can't god
stay for breakfast

nectar blind

halo springs black
violet aura
budded big
you dive
into heaven

lightdarklight
hallucination
splits my brain
into strung-out
synaptic fixation

blind
to the lowdown
I'm woolgathering
while you bloom
on three vines

multiphasic peace talks
won't save us

kiss me
kiss me you say
kiss me
good bye

Aspiration

I search your eyes
your fingers
your lips
for salvation

Mechanical triage
leaves me blue

I want you on earth
as it is

As it is
you are oxygen

You sliced your coke straw
into my trachea

Now breathe for me
